I am going to tell you upfront that I got this information from a imagesforward mail. As we are all aware, we must always take whatever we see in the forward mail with a pinch of salt.

Having said that, I cannot help but to share this with you because it is very ‘high tech’! Who would have thought a dustbin being used as a speed trap.

Apparently, this stealthy device can be found along the USM and Bayan Lepas area (both are in Penang, Malaysia). It is deployed there at the road side to catch any poor speeding motorist.

Is it true? Can such a device exist? The photograph looks convincing. Even added a nice blurry touch to it. Lets take a look.

Looks real isn’t it? Complete with a lookout glass (maybe plastic) and also blue shiny flash? One thing doesn’t match though, the last picture is green while the 2 pictures before that is grey. Pictures taken at a different time? You decide.

Hmmm, I think this is deployed in the day (and maybe someone will sit there keeping a watchful eye), and then retrieve it at night. I have a strong feeling that this thing is not waterproof! :D

Ah well, regardless this is true or not, the same rules still applies. Do not speed while you are on the road. This ‘device’ here is just one more additional reason not to speed.

And, if anyone of you actually see such a device, please let me know, I am interested to know!
